Mensagem:  Oi Welln, In the recent past 'h' at the beginning of a word was considered a vowel sound; so it was "an historic night" or "an horse". Now it is generally written and said "a historic night". The previous way, though not necessarily incorrect, is a good example of old-fashioned usage.
