Mensagem:  I think it is not just a rule, but the sounds dictate the usage. Try to say AN with a sound H after, it is harder for our mouth than saying A + sound H. The opposite is also true, to say A + mute H is harder than AN + mute H. Don't you think so? Maria Valeska
