Mensagem:  Oi Jose, Yes, people do often say things like "I do swimming once a week" or "I have wrestling practice tonight" In the case of "I do swimming", the -ing form is acting as a 'gerund', a noun, similarily to 'aerobics' or 'dance'. "my daughters do dance twice a week" or "my daughters have dance twice a week". People generally say 'dance', but it more properly should be 'dancing' or 'dancing practice' in that context, I think. (not that I want to be taken for a prescriptionist, Heaven forbid!)
