Predicting – contrast will and going to

Sorry I can’t write in Braz. Port

This may be of some relevance…

If I am making a prediction and there is no ‘objective’ information to indicate what the outcome will be, I use “will”

(with 89 minutes to go on the clock)
Brescia v Inter: 0 – 0 “Brescia will win.”

If I am making a prediction and there is ‘objective’ information to indicate what the outcome will be I use “going to”

(with 2 minutes to go on the clock)
Brescia v Inter: 4 – 0 “Brescia is going to win.”

As long as there is a possibility you can use may

If the possibility is perceived to be slight use might
