Mensagem:  Oi Jose, I think if we want to speak of a commitee raising "its" hands, we have to refer to the plural nature of its members: 'The commitee members raised their hands', etc. On a different subject, can anyone think of a modern english verb other than 'to be' that has a first person singular conjugation (present tense) that is different from 2nd person sing, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person plural? I don't believe there is one.
