Mensagem:  Olá Pat Eu tomaria cuidado com o verbo 'excite' for the Portuguese counterpart 'excitar' normally bears a sexual connotation, like 'sex up', I'd use other words to make up for it like "animar-(se)", "entusiasmar-(se)" In Portuguese: "Ela está excitada..." Is normally uttered when you mean that is ready 'for action' but if she is excited because something nice happened to her you'd better using: "Ela está animada (animadíssima) com a possibilidade de trabalhar em uma empresa grande.", "Ela se animou ao saber que teria muita chance de conseguir a vaga de gerente." If Maria Valeska is around I think that amongst us she is an authority in Portuguese language and she can enlighten us much better on this issue than me (the pragmatical use of cognate verbs in both languages). Regards meu amigo José Roberto
