Allen, I may not have made myself too clear, but I'm afraid this is not just a matter of speed. In the first case, there's a clear pause between "meet" and "you" (/mI? Iu/). In the second case, the /t/ sound in "meet" in directly linked to the word "you", making up a single syllable (/mItIu/). I'm not sure this is a good explanation though. Tiago |
