I really blew it with "none".  It can be plural or singular, but in my examples none is most definitely plural.

 

I cannot think of "neither" as refering to more than two things or people.  "Bob, John, and Mary want to go to Alaska.  Neither has the money to go."  No way.  None?  Sure.  Neither?  No way.  "Bob and John want to go to Alaska.  Neither has the money to go."  Sure.  No problem.
