Assunto:  to come along

"To come along" is close to "to accompany".

Please come along with me. = Please come with me.

May I come along? = May I accompany you?  May I go too?

It can also mean "to progress".

I hear John is in the hospital.  How is he coming along? = How is he doing?

The new project is coming along nicely. = The new project is doing well.
