to piss away = to waste, spend unwisely, pass unwisely

to piss the night away = to waste the night, spend unwisely the night, pass unwisely the night

This is not the type of language I would use when speaking to someone's mother, wife, etc.  "To piss" in English is quite close to "mijar" in Portuguese.  It certainly doesn't mean "fazer xixi".

Don't piss your money away; save it.

Don't piss your time away with that damn guitar; go to school and learn something useful.

In the the song the double meaning, of course, is that the singer is drinking to excess and spending the night evacuating what he has consumed.

I don't recall hearing "to shit away" or "to fart away", but anything is possible.
