They (Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG)) thought they'd name it after Harald "Bluetooth" Gormson, an ancient Danish king.
They'veprobably spent a good amount of time deciding what to call it afterall. The name eventually stuck, anyway, as much as Coke, a nameeverybody knows that soft drink by.
BTW Bluetooth Special Interest Group does most of its business in the U. S of A.
