That´s true, Milton, but there are other uses.

 

I´ll blast him if hecomes back. = I`ll shoot him if he returns.

She really blasted me when I got home. = She scolded/insulted me when I returned.

 

It´s ìmportant to know the context, not guess what the poster means.  So many times I´ve responded to a post in the forum based on what I had assumed the context was.  And I´ve been way off base.  We need to know the context.  What was it that the post said, "...what we say when we are angry"?  I say a lot of things when I´m angry.  What is the writer talking about?  What is the context?
