Thank you both for replying. When I wrote the sentence I felt there was something wrong with the preposition (at). So yes, 'by' sounds much better.
As for the third person issue, I'm sorry PPAULO but I didn't get your point. "What I don´t know of with a degree of certainty is, if even in past tenses "no one" follows the standard, someone else can give further clarifying."
What do you mean by 'standard'? The rule you mentioned and which I am perfecly aware of (They seem, he/she/it seemS) is a rule for the simple present . Of course I'm aware 'no one' is third person, but I used it in the simple past . It wouldn't make much sense to say it's ungrammatical to use 'no one' in the past tense, right?
