Sorry for being such a gate crasher, snoopy, or nosy by popping into your thread.
I couldn´t help read it and wonder some aspects of American culture (or that of English speakers, one would say).
Thus, I would think a bit rude a person say to a employee that "you are fired..."
a more subtle way would be "Your services aren´t required/needed anymore..." and if he/she wish to be more verbose would add "for you didn´t achieve the Department average sales".
Well, this would be my approach of the matter, might be others; of course.
