Mensagem:  Up here in the boondocks us Northeasterners commonly use the word "farol" for your locally uttered "sinaleira." Anyway you probably mean the ubiquitous, overhead "LED traffic light."

As for the equally obiquitous sinais de trânsito (traffic signs or road signs) you might like to check the following website out:
