Assunto:  Dar aulas

"I teach math" is much more common than "I give math classes".  "I teach" gives the impression that the classes are ongoing, continuous, such as what you would find in a school, university, etc.  "I give classes" implies that the classes are very limited in number.  Maybe you teach once, twice, or three times.  This is what we would expect of a tutor, someone helping students with specific problems or areas of math.  I cannot imagine a high school teacher saying "I give math classes."  It sounds odd.


Does that make sense?
