Q. (from Debb) Help help, what is the possessive noun for "A leave of absence of one year"

A. There doesn’t seem to be a firm rule. As far as I know, you can write it in two ways:

A one-year leave of absence
A one-year’s leave of absence

Lowell

If Lowell says so, then we might as well say either, "... 10-year experience" or "... 10 years' experience" and your mileage may vary.
