Most words that comes from Latin have a "irregular'' plural, pick for instance "Forum" the plural is "Fora", but in recent days the usage in English corrupted the plural to "Forum"; so the more commom plural in English is Forums, albeit in several dictionaries you find fora (if the dictionary has plurals forms, many don´t).
Another case is "Campus" in Portuguese you have the plural "Campi'' but in English they use "Campuses" (Campi is a no no word in English).
So, take heed of words with "bilingue" plurals like these when you are writting to Brazilian or English audiences.
I hope this helps some way.
