I keep avoiding this concept, ´cause I did think that didn´t make sense. As an illustration, let´s imagine: you have a toy industry, for example, and you have an order for a shipment in Dec. 25. Let´s guess that you call the customer and say that the product (toys) is now sent later than combined, kids will have it later than Xmas´ time. I think your factory is heading to ruin.
But, hold your horses; I just had an afterthought.
Yes, "later" can be fine as well, supposing that you work in a government institution and you have a order of, say, car parts for the same date. In such institutions, as a rule, is in recess till January, in all likelyhood they have had requested the shipment to be postponed. In this light, we can have the two ways: "the later one" and "the early one" (postergando o envio/adiantando o envio).
I put the two forms, because was asked in the post of origin.
