I would say it does.
My idea is that either / or is used when you want to stress the exclusion of all other.
I drink either coffee or tea (and nothing else)
I drink coffee or tea ( but I don't mind chocolate milk or guarana either)
Out of curiosity: does your MS corrector also 'implica' with or/either in the last sentence?
