Hi Johannes,


  These days someone told me that when the object is a person's name, we can write:"We picked up Mary at/from the airport" as well as "We picked Mary up at/from the airport." But when the object is an object pronoun, only the latter is acceptable: "We picked her up at/from the airport."  Please, comment.
