Mensagem:  My brother used to say "Buying a used car is buying another man's headache."  But it's not always true.  I've sold some cars for reasons unrelated to mechanical problems.  And I';ve bought some in great shape but the owners wanted to see them for one reason or another.  When I sold my 1965 VW to an old friend, I made a list of possible problems so that he knew exactly what to expect.  It had been a good car for me and it was a good car for him.  It's been years, but as I recall the list contained information about the need to use a slightly oversized sparkplug (just one), not pulling on the parking brake with all his strength (the cable would snap), how to open the trunk if it didn't want to open, information about the gas gauge, etc.  I'd love to have that car today.
