In some Catholic countries, they simply call `capelinha´
as IMAGE or STATUE. Por example, `The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
will stay with us for two nights.´/ `We welcome the statue of Saint Francis of
Sales to our barrio.´ /`The image of Our Lady Fatima was brought to my
aunt´s house yesterday.´
Image is commonly used as it connotes more movability.
Hope this attempt helps a bit.
