Well, I know there must be a lot of posts about this subject on this forum.

I can't seem to find them though, so I came here to ask you guys if you could answer my question clearly if possible:

 

Well, there's the flap rule, which occurs mostly in the AmE.

 

Well, I'll go straightly to the point.

 

What's exactly ''the rules''?

 

is it possible to use these ''rules'' in the following words:

 

completely 

absolutely

definetely

totally

today

yesterday

 

Well, all the words ending up with ''tely'' LOL.
