I was being serious, Marcio. In Brazil confessions come so fast that the Policia Civil may be "assisting" criminals to remember the details of crimes committed by O Lampiao and others. Have you seen the film "Traffic"? The scene with the bottle of soft drink rings true. The old "soda up the nose trick" has been refreshing memories in Mexico for years.
About two years ago around Novo Hamburgo, a cop was killed while at work in the family churrascaria. It was later determined he had been killed by FELLOW POLICE OFFICERS who were upset with him for arresting friends of theirs. The victim was a member of the same gang.
I think it was in Porto Alegre that Brigada Militar officers robbed an armored truck that went to the BM academy to put money into an automatic teller machine.
I was in Sao Jose dos Campos when the security guards working days at a supermarket robbed the security guards working nights. That must have been in 2001.
The governor of RGS was robbed a couple of years ago in Rio. Robbers didn't approach the car behind her; it was full of bodyguards. That was the luckiest day those robbers will ever have.
