Assunto:  "Lively" or "cheerful" ?
 
Mensagem:  A "cheerful party" sounds strange to my ears.  In slang, I'd call it a swinging party, a rocking party, etc.

How about "a 1960s style party"?  "A party right out of the 1960s"?
