Well, I’m not sure if I understand right what you meant but I’ll give it a try.
There’re some linguistics that believe the TH sound is a weak sound in the English language and sooner or later it will be replaced for a T or even a S. (TH for "Think")


You might think that you heard a T sound but if you see the person speaking you can see they putting their tongue between their teeth and
that is not how a T sound is produced at all.  Same thing to the TH sound of words like Those, This, Mother, Brother looks like a D but is not. If you really pay attention you'll see that's different.
