Mensagem:  Caro Jose,

I just wanted to point out that your examples of the use of the verb "to get" (obtener ou receber) are for informal usage only, although it is how most Americans speak. I believe that it is not best usage.

"I got tired" better: "I became tired"

When you are speaking about a change of condition it is better to use the verb "become".

"I got the wrong impression" is quite correct however,

or "I got the wrong book"

Regards,

Pat
