Mensagem: | Dear Patrick You've just rose an interesting question. When we want to indicate changes about feelings and emotional conditions, we can use "to get" or "to become", I was taught that using "to become" like "Ann became sad as she knew she didn't pass her application." is right but too formal, do you and the people nearby you use "to become" in such sentence? Or it's just used in written or more formal speech? Please reply. José Roberto |
