I say "I've got to go" as easily as "I gotta go". Again, much depends on emphasis and urgency. Most emphatic: "I really do have to go now". The forms morph readily depending on situation, form the same speaker, or from speaker to speaker depending on class and region within north america or britain, or other native-speaking countries.
A usage as basic as this can't be simplistically pinned down.
