Mensagem:  Don't lose any sleep over slender and slim.  People will be pleased that you find them slender or slim.  If you say they are thin, they may be concerned that they appear unhealthy, that their weight is too low.  If you say they are skinny, they may slap you.  Skinny is not an insult, but it implies there is something wrong with the person's health, diet, etc.
