Dale, "Los Angeles" comes from "Reina de Los Angeles" or "Queen of the Angels" As to "California" it is supposed to come from a name of a fabled island. Others say that California comes from Caliente + Horno (don't know its origin or language it comes from; probably some sort of Spanish). Montana, Colorado, Florida, those names are implied. Regards |
