I found 'outlet store' for ponta de estoque (but I think that they mean the store that sell 'ponta de estoque' products).
The closest I can explain 'Ponta de estoque' to a non-Brazilian is, a product sold at discount prices. But here, is usually because the product is defective in any of its parts or have the painting scratched, it´s surface cracked (for example, a stereo or a TV set) but this don´t matter much to the buyer. The more likely reasons to purchase a device of bush league? one might be broke, without that much money; or because the model was sold out remaining only the one badly made or of bad quality (often, in the stetic sense) etc. Or just to save some bucks.
