My niece's American husband got gyped when he left a USD 50 tip in the hand of an 'espertinho' for directions in SP city!

This phoney mechanic frantically warns me fire and smoke come off from under my car. Long story here. O golpe do carro quebrado, you know. Guy warns you your car sputters badly, pretends worry or grave concern while recommending you go with thim to a nearby repair shop professing to have the parts that your ailing car needs, only your car doesn't need any new parts... nor does it ail. mainly when you've just retrieved it from a dealer's certified repair shop a couple of hours ago.

I nearly fell for that golpe.
