Being asked in Portuguese or in English, both are fine with me. No problem.
As for the question at hand, I gave the first and quicker answer I could, being certain that others would fill the possible gaps. They always do.
In fact, there´s nothing that you say that can´t be improved, so please consider my posts as a prelimininary answer, being subject to change and improvement. Ever.
Back to the square one, 'assalto' in Portuguese has more than one meaning, I dealt with the robbery part, which was the one that I think more likely when the thread started.
Dale´s explanation gave us another meaning of 'assalto' that of an 'ataque/atentado etc', nice job Dale, keep up the good work.
