Mensagem:  Hey Lu, just one thing, it is not possible to contract 'There' and 'are' because they have the same ending '-re' '1- There's or there are a bunch of pipes????' =>There are a bunch of pipes. '2- There's or there're a little technical things???' 'Things' are countable so instead of 'a little' I think it would be better to use 'a few' => There are a few techincal things. The nouns dictate whether you use singular (There is,was, has been...) or plural (There are, were, have been...) Also: There aren't many visitors here. There have been a lot of accidents nowadays. There is a lot of milk in the fridge we don't need to get more. There is a little milk left, it's enough for today. PS: I've heard something like "There's milk and eggs..." is that common in Spoken English? JR
