I can see what Bride/ex-Bride mean:
In Brazil, after a given ammount of time waiting, one say "falta menos meses/tempo agora do que quando começou/do que no início". (something like that).
I can´t translate this in English in a precise way (not yet), but the closer I can think is:
-Chill out! the good news is, there are only five months to go (remaining) to the wedding.
-I know you can´t wait another minute to the wedding, you are almost there. One month is past and there´s only five months to go.
-Don´t worry much about it, there are less waiting time now than in the beggining.
Or a cynical would say:
He don´t love you, not after that ammount of time, dump him! ha ha ha.
The idea was of coming close to the sense, I am sure that the more advanced will
improve in a more natural way.
