Mensagem:  Hello Brazilian people can understand Luso-Portuguese very well, but people normally think it is funny or strange because (and then the "famous" jokes), unfortunately, we do not have the same exposition and knowledge towards Portugal, its way of speaking, culture, and that's a pity because the US and the UK have lots in commom and we can see that they exchange culture and things a lot (there is part of CNN's programme broadcast in the UK) and in Brazil we do not know much of what happens in Portugal, here Portuguese's election had a minimun impact, I haven't seen a Portuguese movie and I bet that lots of Portuguese have seen "Central do Brasil" for instance, but as I said, things are changing because there are two Portuguese actors here acting in soap operas, one of them is the character "José Manoel" on "Esperança", and I hope to see in the future more and more about Portugal. Sincerely José Roberto.
