There's a very short book which is really fun. It is called "How to get your point across in 30 seconds or less" by Milo Frank. It was written in 1986 but the message still remains truthful today.

Specially nowadays with Twitter, Facebook, and social media in general, messages have a tendency to be short and straight to the point.
