Miguel, "Official" language of a country means that spoken in government. There are certainly many small countries and some regions of the world where English is practically unknown; those few that speak it may think themselves more prestigous as a consequence, perhaps. How about: Papua/New Genua; Tibet; Mongolia; any of the former Soviet muslim republics? Do you think English is considered a language of prestige in Iraq or Iran? If you were to suggest to a Frenchman that English is actually the official language of France, he would send your ass over tea-kettle. You would also be wrong. Would you care to explain why you are obsessed with prestige and ideas of who is better than whom? A proposito, eu estou tentando tornar "bi-lingual", como voce pode ver. Eu nao tenho qualquer duvida que eu deve aprender mais, muito mais. |
