A slumber party (also called "pyjama party") is a party for adolescent girls.  They play games, maybe style each other's hair, try different cosmetics, talk about boys, maybe watch a DVD, eat, etc.  There are usually far too many girls for the number of beds in the home, so they often sleep on the floor, using blankets or sleeping bags.
