I have the Pimsleur French course method. It has 15 CDS and 30 lessons. Each lesson takes 30 minutes and you are supposed to study one lesson a day only. The method works like this: They first explain the situation and dialogues in English and then in French. You are supposed to repeat the dialogue without thinking in French spelling or grammar. The situations get more complex and you starting increasing your vocabulary. In a way it is very interesting because you do learn to pronounce the words correctly but I think the vocabulary learned is not very big. It should work as a crash course before some travelto a French-speaking country. I want to finsih this before visiting Montreal. Plimsleur has methods for almost all languages, even Brazilian Portuguese. It is worthy a try. |
