I don't need any help frm you. => any becomes negative because of the verb
c.f: I need no help from you.
It can also happen to some:
I haven't met some of these people
Anyone can help you. => Here any has a positive meaning (equivalent to qualquer in Portuguese)
If any was negative one would expect it to bear a negative meaning in any situation.
