The necessary points are made, only as a cultural aside, my twopence:

   The Junina Party, if not translated, like proper names in Portuguese to English.  But sometimes many people translate it; then you use June´s Party. I think both are right, then.

    Mock wedding(s), indeed, not actual wedding(s); reading the text as it is presented, one can think it is actual weddings, indeed it´s a wedding in wich the comical side is present all over it! and it is strong the dancing aspect.
