Mensagem:  It's common for a student (high school or university) to take a "make-up exam or test" in the event of a valid excuse for not being in class that day.  The "make-up" is routinely more difficult than the standard for first exam.  I don't recall hearing of a student who has failed an exam or test to get a second chance to take the exam again without taking the class again.
